On March 9th and March 23rd, the annual Shopping awards took place. The wait is finally over, and we now know the best web shops and omnichannel retailers of 2017 in The Netherlands!
The XS Award show
The winners of the XS awards are chosen based on the consumer’s vote. These awards are meant for retailers with an online activity on the Dutch Market, that have a turnover of maximum 4 million euros.
These awards were already granted during a ceremony on March 9th, congratulations to all winners!
The XL-gala
During a gala last night, the winners of the shopping awards XL could also take home their 3D printed award! The award show consisted of a few different categories:
Shopping Excellence Awards
The shopping Excellence Awards are the most prestigious, and companies could apply with a case. These trophies award the general quality of online activities, the integration of divers digital channels that are used online/offline and the digital step forward that the retailer made in the past year.
DHL cross-border awards.
This award is meant for companies that have a clear e-commerce vision and have activities outside the Dutch borders, particularly the cross-borders aspects are being judged. Companies have to do business at at least 2 foreign companies outside for The Netherlands. This year’s award goes to www.g-star.com.
The shopping XL People’s choice awards.
These awards are chosen by the consumers and buyers of the nominated webshops.
Shopping Awards Game Changer and Lightspeed Ecommerce50
The Game Changer award is thé award for the most innovative initiative in Dutch E-commerce. This year this honer was given to fietskoeriers.nl . The Lightspeed Ecommerce awards are granted to the 50 fastest growing web shops in The Netherlands.
